The Emergency Management Association of Atlantic Canada (EMAAC) operated as CEPA Atlantic prior to 2006. When CEPA National decided to take a different path, the Atlantic Chapter, with the support of the membership, made the decision to continue as an independent society. EMAAC will continue to operate under the same guiding principles and will continue to strive to be the premier organization for emergency managers and emergency planners in the Atlantic provinces. The EMAAC association is still in its infancy and to that end, the executive is actively striving to develop affiliations and partnerships with organizations that will provide knowledge, experience and support to our membership. EMAAC has chosen to make education and networking its primary focus. Professional Development workshops and community visibility are all part of the developing plans.
EMAAC supports membership for all individuals and organizations who have an interest in emergency preparedness. Your executive invites you to contribute to the quarterly newsletters. Please submit articles, photographs and announcements to the Editor as an attachment. We would also like your feedback on this web site. Send your comments and suggestions to the Webmaster.
